Sundrum Castle is located in a Golfers Paradise. There are three World Famous Open Championship courses - Royal Troon, Turnberry and Prestwick within easy access and 42 other courses to enjoy. Prestwick was the host of the first ever Open in 1860, while Royal Troon was the venue in 1997, when Jason Leonard was the winner and last played at Turnberry in 1994 when Nick Price was the champion.

Turnberry has been described by English golf writer John Ingham as “the stuff of dreams, you must go there if you possibly can.” There are two course the par 68, 6014 yard Arran course and the World famous Ailsa course, par 69 - 6,440yds, which has been the site for the British Open in 1977, 1986 and 1994. It is best to reserve tee times well in advance.

Royal Troon is recognised as one of the worlds finest courses. The Open Championship is played on the Old Course - par 73 a massive 7,097 yards. Its sister course - the Portland Course is par 71 - 6,274 yards. Make reservations in advance and have a letter of introduction from your own club together with a handicap card.
